Exceedingly rare authentic antique metal Federal Shield. Hand made & hand painted. With 40 hand painted Stars, dating it to 1889. Antique Federal Shields are very rare and are usually used, associated with, and made for Presidential Inaugurations. Benjamin Harrison was Inaugurated President in 1889/1890. Come with our Certificate of Authenticity. (We put a wire on the back for hanging) The back metal has a japanned finish, typically used on metal in this time period.
