40 Star Parade Flag. Five States were added to the Union at one time on July 4th 1890. The 40 star flag was one of this group of five states. Very few 40 Star flags were made and fewer have survived to this day. Made by stenciling paint onto starched gauze fabric and then it was tacked to a stick.
