1889 Gar Relic Civil War Sword
Civil War sword blade that was damaged/broke or cut down on purpose to make a 1889 period GAR war souvineer.
The GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) made up of Union Civil War Veterans.
This sword blade has been hand painted with the GAR symbol and with the date of 1889.
Since the GAR was made up of Union vets, I assume that this relic was either a GAR members sword that was used and broke in battle or it was a Confederate sword he captured duing the Civil War.
Either way it's a most unique and great Civil War GAR relic.
It is 21" long and also has a GAR brass cap in the end of the wood handle.

Antique French Army Calvary Helmet
A original, antique French Army Calvary Helmet.
Dates to around 1870-1890.
Great condition with the original plumes, headliner and chinstraps.
When these helmets were obsolete and the army was issued new helmets these helmets were given to French firefighters to use.

Rare untouched Civil War flag bearers belt and flag staff holder.
This is different from the Unions hard leather and metal shield shaped flag staff holder, so it's highly likely and more probable that this is a Confederate Civil War flag staff belt and holder.

Sons Of Veterans Kepi by Pettibone
This is a Sons Of Veterans Kepi. Sons of Union Civil War Soldiers that belonged to the GAR, Grand Army of the Republic.
It is a very high quality kepi and most likely an officers hat as it is made of fine satin with silver adornments. GAR buttons. All complete and in great condition.
It has an original SV hat pin which is original to the hat.
