Rare, Americana, Folk Art, Patriotic Baby Quilt

Made of four historical and rare 39 Star US Flags and other rare period patriotic textiles. The flags used were patented in 1875.
Two of the flags have the stars arranged in a circle, this is called a medallion star pattern

This quilt was made for the 1776 - 1876 American Centennial

President during this period was Ulysses S. Grant.

Very rare beardless hand tinted lithograph of President Abraham Lincoln

I have not opened the back to see if there is any engraver or publisher information on the lithograph. Any image of Lincoln without his beard is rare and important. Its framed in a period wood frame.

A charactization oil painting of the two famous sunjects produced for a poster.
The poster is at The FDR Presidential Museum.

King George VI & Queen Elizabeth visited Canada & The United States in May-June 1939

The artist, N.Levy was an accomplished artist and supplemented his income by painting charactures of famous subjects of which he then produced posters which he sold.

RARE 1876 PLAQUE

A large, rare and spectacular commerative 1876 Centennial Plate.
Ornate, cast in what looks like silver over nickle plate. Very heavy at 15 pound.
Incredibly detailed with what appears to be famous Peace Medal's around on the side.
The inscription says; THROUGHOUT THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF PROCLAIM LIBERTY. With a Federal Eagle holding a shield on top of the Liberty Bell.

It is 20" across and almost 2" deep.

Rare 1866 Indian Chromolithograph

A rare color chromolithograph of a Indian with his 1866 Winchester repeating rifle.
Signed & dated by J.M. Stanley a famous early American painter of the west.
Most of his works did not survive making this very rare.
A large portion of his works were destroyed by a fire in Chicago. The remaining works were shipped to the Smithsoneon where the remaining painting were also destroyed by a fire.
Winchester used this painting in a ad to sell their 1866 model repeating rifle.
It has been conserved under museum glass by a professional museum conservator to repair two cracks that are visable in the photo.
A fantastic piece of authentic americana.

This newspaper cover dates to June 9, 1898. That makes it 108 years old. Pictured on the cover of Leslies Weekly, price 10 cents.

Uncle Sam is pictured looking thru a magnifyting glass to the Phillippine Islands that the United States won during the Spanish American War & Uncle Sam says I think I'll keep them.

Vintage Patriotic Flag Cigar

Rare patriotic flag item, its a US Flag inside a paper cigar. Pull on the tab and out comes a paper flag fan. Most likely used as a political campaign item. It says on the cigar label "LATEST Cigar Flag, Made in Korea" This was made right after WWII and before the Korean War. The picture shows the cigar closed and then open. This is for one cigar fan. It is difficult to get the fan back in the cigar once its open.

Extremely rare, one of a kind, actual Id'ed Civil War sewing kit with a hand painted & hand sewn 13 Star Flag. Most Civil War soldiers carried a sewing kit called a "housewife". This belonged to Ebenezer J. Pearce. Mustered in on 09/08/1862 into "G" Co. Il 91st Inf. Mustered out on 07/12/1865 at Mobile Al, Was a GAR Member Post #512 in Whitehall Il Died 04/14/1907.

Vintage Patriotic Cap Cane

Very rare patriotic political campaign or 4th of July Cane. This cane is very unusual as it also fires a "cap" like cap pistols do. It has red, white & blue striped paper on it, a round red wood ball as the handle and a metal device at the tip which has a pin at the tip to fire the cap. It is old.
