1890 Painting Portrait of Mark Twain
A wonderful circa 1890 small Painting of Mark Twain.
Painted on board, it is believed to be the artist first draft for the family to review before the actual portrait was done.
On the back is scratched mark twain JCB which is believed to be James Carroll Beckwith a listed American artist.
Beckwith did complete a similar but larger portrait of Twain in 1890.
